In order to help diverge attention from the failing economy and massive national debt, Obama delivered a speech on illegal immigration. (It’s funny how this becomes such a big deal right around the time of reelection.) Basically, he desires to prevent the United States from deporting illegal immigrants whose parent’s brought them here….ILLEGALLY. He said these people are “Americans in their hearts and minds and in everyway but one. On paper.” He even encouraged us to put ourselves in their shoes. He said, “Imagine you did everything right. Studied hard, worked hard, maybe graduated the top of your class…” all to get deported. Now look guys, I have as much compassion as the next guy. The whole “I-was-illegally-brought-here-by-my-parents-it’s-not-my-fault” situation is a sticky one. I’m not proposing what we should do; I’m just looking at this from a different angle. The President is so compassionate, telling us to put ourselves in these illegal aliens’ shoes. Well, Mr. President, just a thought, why don’t you put yourself in the shoes of the LEGAL American people? Many of us work hard. Some of us have graduated at the top of our class. We get jobs and start business that keep this economy buzzing. We pay our taxes, and your policies take our money to pay for benefits for ILLEGAL immigrants. We pay for the schools these children go to. In case you haven’t noticed, we’re kind of tight on money as individuals and as a whole nation. This is just plain irresponsible.
Obama
argues that we cannot “expel talented young people.” They benefit the nation.
Look, I’m not questioning their dedication to the country or anything, but
(when we factor in discouraged workers and the underemployed) the unemployment
rate grosses at least 18 percent. Call me a bigot, but shouldn’t these jobs be
reserved for American citizens? Plus, isn’t this totally a rip off to the
people who waited and went through the process to live here legally?
As
much as I’d like to believe that Obama actually cares about anything but
getting reelected or golfing, he doesn’t. You want to know why he’s taking all
these illegal immigration shenanigans to the top of his priority list lately? -Because
he needs the votes. Yes, the votes of illegal immigrants. How sad is that? No.
Seriously. I’m not even joking, The Obama Administration and the State of
Florida are suing each other over this. Human Events writer John Hayworth put
it this way.
“On Monday, Florida’s Republican governor, Rick Scott, told Fox News
that he would sue the Department of Homeland Security for refusing to give
Florida access to its SAVE database. Florida wanted this access to assist
with its sweep of voter registrations – a process that would have been
completed far more quickly, if DHS had fulfilled its legal obligation to make
the SAVE data available.” “We want to have fair, honest elections in our
state,” Scott maintained, “and we have been put in a position that we have to
sue the federal government to get this information.”
How
nutty is that? The Department of Homeland Security doesn’t want Florida to
purge the possible illegal voters because it’s a huge voting bloc for President
Obama. (Not to mention Florida is a meaty, swingy state to win in the general
election.
So,
there you have it. The current President is a closet illegal lover because they
vote for him, and all he really cares about is getting reelected so he can
enforce his new campaign slogan FORWARD -i.e. The word socialists and
communists use to explain progressing a capitalistic society successfully into
a Marxist society. Some joe shmo put it this way on the online encyclopedia
Wikipedia: "The name Forward carries a special meaning in socialist
political terminology. It has been frequently used as a name for socialist,
communist and other left-wing newspapers and publications,".
Doesn’t
this all warm your heart? Here’s to being compassionate!
