“Without God, there is not virtue, because there’s no prompting of the conscience. Without God, we’re mired in the matter, that flat world that tells us only what the senses perceive. Without God, there is coarsening of the society. And without God, democracy will not and cannot long endure. If we ever forget that we’re one nation under God, then we will be a nation gone under.” - Ronald Reagan

A Detrimental Proposal.

It has been a while since I’ve written anything. After the beyond depressing election night, I needed a break. I didn’t feel like writing about gloating liberal morons cabbage patching in corners. But alas, here we go again. Let’s talk about Obama’s new proposal and what a complete JOKE it is.

It has three elements, but the non-fox media tends to ignore all three components. First, Obama wants to raise taxes on the top 2 percent of income earners, increasing revenue by $1.6 trillion.  This is the only part that the democrats will talk about, because they can easily convince the sheep-like common man to believe that the nasty, evil Republicans oppose it.

The highest tax-bracket is currently 35 percent. The hike would change that to approximately 39.6 percent. The democrats have an easy argument here, or so they think. “The Republicans only care about the rich. They already have money. Stop protecting them! They need to pay their fair share!” When you take state taxes, payroll taxes, capital gains taxes, people can end up paying well over 50 percent of their income in taxes! I don’t care how much money you have. It is absolutely CRIMINAL to take nearly 50 percent of someone’s money they earned! The government does not have a right to half your income. See? That’s the difference between conservatives and liberals.

Conservative values are based on principle. Liberal values are based on feelings. Does it feel right to have the rich pay more because they’re well off? It does to them. Conservatives believe in fiscal responsibility. Taking more of the rich's money does not replace irresponsible government spending, which brings me to my next point.

Obama’s proposal also includes $50 billion in stimulus money. Because, as we can all see, the last few have done the economy wonders.  Honestly, I’m wondering how the Obama Administration can be so stupid. Stimulus hasn’t worked in the past. It isn’t working now, and it won’t help in the future.  Keynesian economics has failed miserably every time it’s been tried. Not to mention how much debt it will add. Another reason the Republicans oppose it.

Last, but certainly not least, Obama’s proposal includes enabling him to have executive privilege to raise the debt ceiling. The President believes his intellect is far above that of Congress, therefore, he should not have to negotiate with them or answer to them.

A combination of more tax increases, more stimulus spending, and more unchecked Obama is a recipe for absolute chaos- that’s why Republicans oppose it. The democrats will continue to whine and say the republicans only care about the wealthy and are halting progress. Insanity is doing the same thing repeatedly and expecting different results. Hence, the liberals are insane (and many other words I should refrain from saying, because I’m a lady).

The liberals are turning America to ruin, and the fact that we have to sit back and watch them dissect the country we love so much makes my blood boil. There is hope, of course. I will always believe there’s hope. The fundamental differences between conservatives and liberals can be seen with this bogus proposal. It’s a proposal based on feelings, not on principle and common sense. Unfortunately, common sense isn’t so common.

A Silent Revolt

“If you love wealth greater than liberty, the tranquility of servitude greater than the animating contest for freedom, go home from us in peace. We seek not your counsel, nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you; May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen.” –Samuel Adams. That encompasses my entire set of feelings right now. I’m extremely disappointed in America. I’m disappointed in my generation.  To those who don’t want to hear about politics anymore, get over it. It’s a big deal, whether you choose apathy and ignorance or not. It DOES affect you, and I love America way too much to shut up about it.

To Liberals: You voted for four more years of economic downfall. Four more years of national debt. Four more years of Iranian nuclear development. Four more years of bigger government. Four more years of a welfare state. Four more years of President who holds no regard for the Constitution. The blood of American patriots was shed for you, and you willing vote what they fought for so hard away. You have voted for an unrecognizable America. You claim to stand up for the little guy. You claim to be educated. You claim to be compassionate. But you’re not. You’re creatures of entitlement. You believe the government is the answer to everything. It isn’t. You like to give away other people’s money, because it makes you feel better about your personal lack of giving. Eventually, you will run out of other people’s money. You do everything out of the “ideal” of the greater good, but it’s not. You encourage the break down of society. You scoff at traditional values- ones that made this country as exceptional as it is. You want an America the Founding Fathers would never even recognize. Perhaps you deserve four more years of economic hell and a welfare state. No complaining. No blaming. You made your bed, now go lie in it.

To my fellow Conservatives: Yes. This is a huge disappointment. I’m upset, and I’m sure you are as well. But this isn’t over. Our job is more important than EVER now. The liberal drones are going to prance around like they had some big accomplishment. They’re going to tell you you’re wrong. But you’re not. You’re the only hope for America. I was polite the first four years of the Obama Presidency. I’m not anymore. Political correctness brought us into this mess, and it will only make it worse. Speak up. Educate people. We still have the House of Representatives. It will keep up from complete and utter mayhem for the next two years at least. I know it’s hard, but look at it this way. Maybe America needs four more years of economic hell and “international tolerance” to wake up. It’s a shame, for sure. Trust God. He is greater than the government. He alone is whom we need to put our trust in. We can’t trust in government. The Obama economy can crumble around us, but God’s people will prosper. We are protected. We are the only hope left in America, guys. We are the salt of the earth. We cannot allow America to go down so easily by way of ignorance and stupidity. Apathy and ignorance is the enemy of America. Stand for what you know is true, even if you’re in the minority. Don’t be afraid. Speak up.

This is what we call the war on women?

Headline: This is what we call the war on women?
        Name: Hannah
Audience: Anyone really, but mostly women
Why would the audience care: The “War on Women” is a big deal.   But the details are vague and no one ever hears about it from a Conservative’s point of view.

I’m a young Conservative woman. I know I’m in the minority. It breaks my heart when I hear the “War on Women” rhetoric, because none of it is remotely true. I care deeply about my own gender, and it rubs me the wrong way when I hear women on the other side call Conservative women idiots.
This “War on Women” is a mystery to me. The term has been thrown around a lot, especially since the election is drawing closer. What exactly is this war on women, and why is it such a big deal? Why do Conservative women get ridiculed for not believing it? Well, I only have one thing to say. I’m a woman, and I’m not buying any of the nonsense.
The War on Women craze seems to always start with this scenario. A woman wants to have an abortion. The man steps in and offers an alternative, even suggests it’s not a good idea. Wait, how can a man tell us what to do with our bodies? Because, as we all know, men can’t tell us what to do! Those crusty jerks don’t care about women’s rights. At least that's what we're being told.
Abortion is always the first trend on the fake “War on Women”. Not only should women be allowed to do it on demand, but they shouldn’t have to pay for it either. The taxpayers should pay for it. (-one of the many reasons I personally oppose it.) Moral reasons are discounted. Neither side can scientifically prove when “life exists”, so why do Conservative women’s oppositions get labeled as intolerant? Anyone who opposes abortion hates women, and feminists expect you to believe that.
Next up, contraception. Don’t we all love talking about that? I know someone who does- Obama’s newest activist, Sandra Fluke. Because Conservatives don’t believe in forcing institutions to provide a product against their will, they’re labeled as “anti-women”. Is this right?
Ladies. Don’t you see? The “War on Women” argument is actually the complete opposite of what the other side is making it out to be. It’s painting women as helpless, dependent on society, and just plain stupid. Women want equal rights, have we not already achieved it? (According to the New York Times, men make up only 42 percent of enrolled college students.) Their argument discounts personal responsibility. Are women not capable of being personally responsible? Should women blame society for their failures? Who’s to blame for the unwanted pregnancy they call a “burden”. Why are feminists implying that women are incapable of taking responsibility for themselves? I find that offensive to my gender. But the left seems to want everyone to believe Conservatives, like myself, are keeping women that way. They’re politicizing women’s problems. They’re convincing women they are victims.
Here’s what I don’t understand. The American feminists will rant and rave over women’s rights all day long. Because, don’t we know? We’re women. We were born with a disadvantage, and society owes us compensation. We’re entitled to it. Are we really? Let’s take a look at where the real war on women is.
We are all well aware of the Obama Administration’s unquestionable tolerance for the Islamic religion. The Constitution guarantees us religious freedom, right? Not only does the left advocate tolerance, but there is significant evidence they actually prefer Islam to Christianity. They don’t claim to support Sharia Law, but they make no signs of opposing it. Well, meet Afghan girl Bibi Aisha, one of the many oppressed women in the Islamic religion.

Bibi’s family cut her nose and ears off because of “shaming her husband’s family” by running away. Cases  like these aren’t just across the globe. In 2008, Yaser Said, resident of Texas, performed “honor killings” to his two teenage daughters for becoming too “Americanzied”. Oh, the irony. Where are the feminists? Why aren’t they shouting “War on Women” from the rooftops? This is actually legitimate. I could agree with them here! Women are being beaten, abused, and treated as slaves in the Islamic world, but the feminists continue to preach their religious tolerance rhetoric. Saying anything about this makes you a right wing warmonger because apparently, it’s none of our business. What happened to women’s rights? It looks pretty silly when it’s put in this perspective, don’t you think?
To my fellow women, please do me a favor. Do our gender a favor. Don’t just go along with the “War on Women” rhetoric because it sounds good. Research. Think for yourself. Don’t let people teach you what to think, learn how to think. I’m just sick of women in America acting like victims. You’re not victims, stop complaining about your rights and take responsibility for your actions. I’m tired of getting my “women’s rights” opinions discounted because I’m a Conservative. After all, I’m a woman, and I have an opinion too, even if it’s unpopular. Why oppress someone on the same team? Being skeptical and thinking for yourself doesn’t make you anti-women. After all, what demonstrates female empowerment more than independent thinking?

Yeah, you should be horrified too.

Lately, I’ve been hearing a lot of rhetoric about China. I’ve been told they they’re not really “Commies” anymore. I’ve heard the Chinese regime is taking a turn for the better. People pitch a pretty convincing argument. They call it “Modernizing Authoritarian Government”. Well, I was on the path of believing until I saw the most Horrifying. Thing. Ever.

Meet He Zhi Hua, the man who was brutally murdered by the Chinese government via roller trucks.  Yes that’s right. That’s his dead body entangled in the tires. That’s the remnants of his crushed head on the pavement. So, tell me, is the Chinese government still not that bad?

He Zhi Hua was ordered by the Chinese government to move from his property because they wanted to take it over for commercial use. Hua refused to leave his land and in protest, lied across the road. When the trucks came, government officials ordered the drivers to run over him.

Does that seem like a government that respects basic human rights? Hello? The government literally CRUSHED one of their citizens like a worthless bug because they dared act against the government in a peaceful way. Are you kidding me? On top of that, the government tried to keep it on the down low. Yes-sir-ee bob, that’s a modernizing country right there.  And we go to them when we run into debt problems. We go to these BARBARIANS. Awesome isn’t it?

Remember this image, kids, when you hear about how horrible America is. When you hear about how unfair it is. When you hear the “class warfare” rhetoric. When you hear people complaining about their lack of wealth. When you hear complaints about food stamps. Remember what we’re battling. Remember that we have it pretty darn good here in America. We can thank the Founding Fathers for seeking God first and crafting a country founded on the notion of liberty. It’s not bad to be skeptical of the government. America is a shining city on a hill, and I don’t care who disagrees. Look at the atrocities around the world. Jesus called us to be the light of the world. We need to expose things that need exposure- even if it offends.

Matthew 5:14-16
14 “You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. 15 No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father."

That's What We Call Tolerance?

Eleven years after 9/11, the Muslim community, yet again, reminded us that the ideological war is far from over. Muslims in Egypt attacked the U.S. Embassy, shredding the American flag to pieces. The outraged Muslims in Libya managed to kill Christopher Stevens, U.S. ambassador to Libya along with 3 other American diplomats. Why did this occur? Supposedly, the uprising was triggered by an American made video, which depicted Muhammad as a bad guy. What do I think caused this: the sickening virus infecting America called political correctness.

Prior to the American deaths, the U.S. Embassy said, The Embassy of the United States in Cairo condemns the continuing efforts by misguided individuals to hurt the religious feelings of Muslims – as we condemn efforts to offend believers of all religions. Today, the 11th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the United States; Americans are honoring our patriots and those who serve our nation as the fitting response to the enemies of democracy. Respect for religious beliefs is a cornerstone of American democracy. We firmly reject the actions by those who abuse the universal right of free speech to hurt the religious beliefs of others.”

How long are we going to prance around the issues? Yes, we respect religious beliefs, but a line has been clearly crossed! Hello? The Obama administration has oodles of tolerance for Islamic Extremists. In fact, they don’t even recognize who the real enemy is! I heard this analogy. If an alien or intelligent foreign being came to earth, watch the news, lived a normal life, they would probably have NO idea who the enemy is. “Terrorists” is a vague term, which is why they use it. The enemy is Muslim radicals. ISLAMIC EXTREMISTS. They hate us. They hate everything we stand for. This politically correct tolerance crap is costing us lives. It’s weakening us. I’m not saying that all Muslims are evil, but I’m not afraid of offending them either. They have no respect for us. Instead of worrying about hurting everyone else’s feelings, let’s focus on US.
I’m sure the Obama Administration will continue to preach the religious tolerance rhetoric whenever a case comes up with Muslims. In the mean time, there is little to no tolerance for Christians who want the 9/11 rubble cross displayed, no tolerance for Catholics who don’t want to be forced to provide contraception in their institutions, no tolerance for anyone who opposes gay marriage, and no tolerance for those who oppose the President.

Because religious tolerance is only applicable to Muslims.

Here’s to political correctness! Cheers!

An Ideological Battle

I’m not going to lie. I’m pretty stoked over Romney’s VP pick, Paul Ryan. I watched as he gave his speech at the Norfolk Naval Base earlier today and was impressed- to say the least.  His focus was not solely on the political ideas of Barack Obama, but his ideology. I think that’s what we need to focus on. Let’s not make this an election based just on politics, because that is not what it is. This is an ideological election. This is about who we are. This is about fundamental principles. Where we get our liberties? Are they derived from the government or God? This is about who we are as American people. Are we creatures of entitlement, endless whiners, or hard-working, self-made people? Is America the same as every other country, or is it truly exceptional?

(Our current President said, “I believe in American exceptionalism, just as I suspect that the Brits believe in British exceptionalism and the Greeks believe in Greek exceptionalism.” That’s code for no.)

Do we have more faith in government than the American people? Do we believe that the government builds successful business, or do we believe that WE build them ourselves?

(Our current President said, “ -- look, if you’ve been successful, you didn’t
get there on your own. You didn’t get there on your own.
I’m always struck by people who think, well, it must be because I
was just so smart. There are a lot of smart people out there.
It must be because I worked harder than everybody else. Let me tell you something -- there are a whole bunch of hardworking people out there. If you were successful, somebody along the line
gave you some help. There was a great teacher somewhere in your
life. Somebody helped to create this unbelievable American system
that we have that allowed you to thrive. Somebody invested in roads
and bridges. If you’ve got a business -- you didn’t build that.
Somebody else made that happen.”)
Do we believe in fundamentally changing the roots of America, or do we believe in the solid foundation of the Constitution?
(Our current President said, “It didn't break free from the essential constraints that were placed by the Founding Fathers in the Constitution, at least as it's been interpreted, and the Warren Court interpreted in the same way, that generally the Constitution is a charter of negative liberties. Says what the states can't do to you. Says what the federal government can't do to you, but doesn't say what the federal government or state government must do on your behalf.")

This isn’t just a Presidential election. This an ideological battle, and it’s time the American people determine where they stand.

What are you doing, America?

My heart grieves for America. I cannot bear to think about the direction we are headed. “Repeal your own healthcare!”,  “free healthcare for all” -these are only some signs I’ve seen since the decision made on our future of healthcare. FYI: You don't have the right to healthcare. But, this is about more than healthcare.  This is about the mentality of our nation. When did Americans develop an entitlement mentality? How is this the norm? I’m sorry, I don’t care how great YOU think YOU are, YOU are NOT entitled to anything, especially at anyone else’s expense. Nothing is really free. Someone has to pay for it. The pride of individualism caused us to be the nation we are today. Where is this going? Why do Americans now hate being individually independent? Who cares about class boundaries and gaps? This is America. YOU have the power to do with YOUR life and make anything out of it YOU wish. Equal opportunity does not always produce equal results. If you want equal results for everyone, join the Communist Party. Everyone will be equal. Equally poor, that is. Is that what we want? Why are we allowing the government to vastly expand itself under the disguise that they are helping us? They are not helping us. They are hurting us. They are endangering us. They are subtly taking away our liberties one by one. I understand that many of you aren’t into politics. Trust me, I’ve heard it all.“It’s boring.” “It’s just a bunch of lousy politicians fighting all the time.” “What do I care, it doesn’t affect me.” Wrong. It does affect you and when it does, it will be too late to stop.
Obamacare does affect you. The Federal Government was trying to pass it under something called the Commerce Clause, which (I’m paraphrasing) gives Congress the power to regulate commerce across State lines. As suspected, this was ruled unconstitutional because Congress does not have the authority to force an individual to buy something. This law slid through by way of the Sixteenth Amendment. For ease, I will just write it out.

“The Congress shall have the power to lay and collect taxes on incomes, from whatever source derived, without apportionment among the several States, and without regard to any census or enumeration. “

Yes, the individual mandate is a tax. (As if we are not taxed enough…) Funny, the Obama Administration swore it wasn’t such a thing.  In fact, it’s a progressive tax! Isn’t that wonderful?! The Supreme Court decision set a precedent that expanded Congress’s taxing power. If the Federal Government can tax an individual on healthcare, what more can they tax the individual for? Anything they want.
There is much manipulation behind Obamacare. It’s a “feel good” law. If you are against it, Liberals wine and accuse you of having no compassion. They spit out the numbers of Americans not insured when in reality they are completely false. The numbers are manipulated. People, illegal aliens are included in the uninsured statistics! People who CHOOSE (keyword CHOOSE) to be uninsured are included in the seemingly random uninsured number.
Sixty percent of Americans find this individual mandate unconstitutional. (Not to mention it will dramatically spike the national debt and account for an additional 500 billion dollars in taxes for, you guesses it, you.) Obama and all his cronies and liberal counterparts do not care.  They want power, and this gives it to them. With this policy, healthcare will become so expensive that few will be able to even afford it. Because of this, Americans will be forced to be on government healthcare. Once on government healthcare, you will not be able to make health decisions for yourself. Big Brother will make all your decisions. Welcome to European style government. Ask Europeans and Canadians how they like their “social justice”. (Fun fact; It’s shown that polls state that Canadians and Europeans are happy with their healthcare. The catch is, those polled are healthy people. Yes, people who haven’t had any health problems. Funny how they leave that minor detail out. You cannot trust polls like that, because it has a statistical motivation behind it. Statistics are very easy to manipulate.) The Government will decide if it’s cost effective to keep granny living. The Government will decide if you really need that hip replacement. The Government will decide if your disabled child is too much of a burden on society.
Although it is difficult, I have learned that there is hope in every situation if one looks hard enough. Remember 2010 guys? Remember the Tea Partiers and pumped up Conservatives everywhere? Remember the sweeping wins in the midterm election? That was over the passage of Obamacare. That was over Americans getting sick and tired over political figures and big government doing a Mexican (pun intended) hat dance over its Constitutional boundaries. As said before me, this verdict has awoken a sleeping giant. I pray I am not the only one who is outraged. We need to band together. We need to elect people who will oust Obamacare and implement common sense solutions to healthcare. (Buying across state lines, grouping, etc.) We need to take over the Senate. We need to maintain the House. We need to get rid of Obama. We can repeal this. We can do it. Everything starts with the grassroots.  You have much more power than you might think. You can make a difference. You should make decisions about yourself and for your future. Don’t let the government do it.

"Those willing to give up liberty for security deserve neither and will lose both.” –Benjamin Franklin
