“Without God, there is not virtue, because there’s no prompting of the conscience. Without God, we’re mired in the matter, that flat world that tells us only what the senses perceive. Without God, there is coarsening of the society. And without God, democracy will not and cannot long endure. If we ever forget that we’re one nation under God, then we will be a nation gone under.” - Ronald Reagan

Absolutely absolute...absolutely?
Oh, ethics class. Mention Jesus or a relationship with God as THE absolute truth for an otherwise baseless country, society, and life, and receive disgusted silence and anger in turn. Say something as simple as that (God is the absolute basis), and the outraged either try to paint you as being either a religious jerk or judgmental loser. In the U.S. Constitution, we have the liberties we enjoy now because the Founders wrote, “We were given unalienable rights by our Creator.” That’s the whole basis for our society. If God our Creator didn’t give us rights, who did? If God didn’t give us our liberties, who’s to say they can’t be taken away? Does that mean we don’t have any rights at all? Would that mean all our morals are subjective? I think society likes to think they don't have an absolute, because they don't want to answer to anyone. I'm not some religious fuddyduddie i'm not perfect, and i'm far from being or caring about being "politically correct" I just love Jesus and my heart breaks for those who refuse to accept His endless grace and love.
