If I hear one more person compare the Tea Party to the Occupy Wall Street protestors, I might kick a kitty. They say both are grassroots organizations, but CLEARLY there is a difference. It’s a curious fact that the protest grew exponentially when the heads of Unions began backing their support. Magically, the numbers multiplied. It was astonishing! The protestors have absolutely no coherent message. They’re protesting primarily because of jealousy. It’s all about class warfare. The Tea Party is NOTHING like the Wall Street protestors. The Tea Party’s three main objectives is the following: Fiscal responsibility, enforcement of our laws, and free market solutions. Here are the 15 more detailed non-negotiable core beliefs of the Tea Party.
Tea Party Beliefs:
1. Illegal Aliens Are Here Illegally.
2. Pro-Domestic Employment Is Indispensable.
3. Stronger Military Is Essential.
4. Special Interests Eliminated.
5. Gun Ownership Is Sacred.
6. Government Must Be Downsized.
7. National Budget Must Be Balanced.
8. Deficit Spending Will End.
9. Bailout And Stimulus Plans Are Illegal.
10. Reduce Personal Income Taxes A Must.
11. Reduce Business Income Taxes Are Mandatory.
12. Political Offices Available To Average Citizens.
13. Intrusive Government Stopped.
14. English As Core Language Is Required.
15. Traditional Family Values Are Encouraged.
Now, let’s do a little comparison, shall we? These hippie freaks may not be protesting about everything listed here, but I’ll still address them. They’re compared in the same order.
Wall Street Hippie Lawn Maggot Beliefs:
1. They may not be protesting about illegals, but as we know, all liberals are in favor of illegals being here, because they add to the voting block.
2. These protestors are not concerned about employment. If they really were they’d get off their sorry butts and go get a job. But no, logic does not suit them. A lot of these protestors want handouts from the government (and money from the rich for good measure)
3. Again, they aren’t protesting about the military, but these protestors carry the same mindset as those hippie freaks who spat on soldiers coming back from Vietnam calling them “baby killers”
4. Perhaps one thing we can agree on. They would want Special Interest groups eliminated (according to some of their signs, of course)
5. Liberals hate guns.
6. Downsized government? Absolutely not! Government must be big, tax the rich! Everyone knows that a bigger socialistic government is better, because capitalism is just unfair!
7. Money shmoney, give me some.
8. They don’t care about the deficit. They just want some free money from the government for Pete sakes!
9. Protestors say they don’t want companies or the government to receive any more bailouts…Woah, the protestors and the Tea Party might be on the same page with something! Oh wait, they don’t want companies bailed out, but they as individuals want to be bailed out…? Oh well, spoke too soon.
10. The protestors don’t care about reducing taxes. Approximately 48% of Americans don’t even pay a federal income tax. Look at these people... I bet 99% of those protestors are included in that 48%, but then again, 80% of all statistics can be made to say anything 50% of the time......wait....what....?..... but really, how do you reduce taxes when you don’t even pay any?
11. They don’t care they just want money. They want the government to tax business more.
12. Political offices available to average citizens doesn’t matter to them
13. Intrusive government stopped? No way! I need my bailout and money from the rich so I can continue to do nothing but complain the capitalistic society that I was a failure in!
14. English as the core language? No! Why would you even say something so racially degrading?!
15. Traditional family values are not even in these people’s vocabulary. They hate tradition and glorify everything that is not.
The Wall Street protestors are a joke. The average Tea Partier has a job. Therefore, they don’t irresponsibly camp out day and night in their own smelly filth. It’s usually organized around their jobs. Keyword, jobs. Also, a Tea Party isn’t a very good place to try to score crack, acid, and heroine (New York Post). Honestly, any group that Nancy Pelosi “glorifies” should already be a sign that it totally sucks. Just look at a picture or scene of the protestors. Does it really look like healthy American discourse, or a loser hotspot. You tell me.

ReplyDeleteMike, I would argue that your theory is full holes (With all due respect). First let me say I am no fan of the mordern day Tea Party. They embrace a libertarian philosiphy that never existed in our nations history....HOWEVER... Their actions today are a result of decades upon decades of moderate conservatives and democrats yelling, begging and screaming that the path we are on today is not sustainable, as well as years of their warnings being ignored for just as long.
ReplyDeleteThe solutions they offer arent really the best to reverse course but they certainly did NOT cause the United States to lose it's top credit raiting. They(TP)during the events and policies that tanked our credit with the world bank. They simply have brought to light we are now here and we need to do something.... Anything but something. In 1972 Richard Nixon who was a very good president aside from his post knowledge of a B and E into a democratic campaign office, took the United States off of the world gold standard and relied solely on our current FIAT currency values. This was one of his few major blunders and it really was the catalyst that started this whole mess almost 40 years prior to the Tea Party.
The Tea Party solutions are a good compass for the direction we as Americans should shoot for in maybe 20 to 30 years time. Their immediate knee jerk reactions to quick fix our economy now are not practical but ideally sound once we become a solvent nation again.
The path to the Tea Party goals ironically can only be acheived through policies contrary to what they call for today. Here is a few bullets of what I think must happen to acheive a 1st world leader globally.
1. Massive across the board tax increases. No refunds and everybody pays from Bill Gates to the the single mom on public assistance.(AND) then commit all those revenues torward deficit reduction and domestic only expenditures.
2. Reinstitute a mandate for traditional Republican isolationist policies regarding foreign conflicts.
3. Unleash the most agressive energy policy the nation has ever seen by unrestricting completely drilling rights to oil companies headquarted in this country both on land and deep sea drilling.
4. Curtail the power of Exectutive branch of our government to one of "statesmenship" as originally intended and cut off its power to legsilate.
5. Reduce the nations war making ability but shift the capitol available to a defensive only American intrest operations. (This will passify the true power brokers) Halliburton etc.. I am a realist and know that to end the military idustrial complex altogether is not realistic.
In closing Mike, the Tea Party though not good for a Nation now are simply the "messangers" and not the culprits who got us here.

ReplyDeleteThe solutions offered by talking heads such as Rush, Hannity and Beck I find disturbing at best. However they are not the ones in charge. Those in charge who can make a difference are not doing so. The afore mentioned talk show hosts could care less about our welfare in the big scheme of things but let us not call them the villans when those who are exercizing their will over us directly are even worse...Obama, pelosi, H. Clinton.
